What does M25 mean?
M25 concrete grade

The method, with an example

Formula

The member dimensions give concrete volume and form-contact area. The chosen mix gives the concrete constituents; the supplied bars or bar-bending schedule give the steel weight.

Worked example

A column uses height × width × depth for concrete and its four side faces for shuttering; supplied bar lengths determine steel weight.

What this result assumes

  • • Member dimensions, concrete mix and reinforcement details come from approved project information.
  • • Column shuttering includes four sides, beam shuttering two sides and soffit, and slab shuttering the soffit.

What it does not cover

  • • This workflow calculates quantities only. It does not size members, design concrete, select reinforcement, or verify structural safety.

Does the calculator decide how much rebar is safe?

No. Enter bars or a bar-bending schedule supplied for the project; the calculator only converts that information into weight and purchase quantity.
