How the numbers are worked out
Each result shows the measured basis, calculated requirement, wastage, buying quantity, material price and labour cost.
Start with the measurements
The layout becomes net area, length or volume before any material formula is applied. Doors, windows and other captured openings are deducted from the wall they belong to.
Apply the job assumptions
Ratios, dry-volume factors and conversions sit inside the calculation where they are used. They remain editable because they are not universal constants.
Calculate the buying quantity
Wastage is added in plain view. Bricks, blocks, bags and packs round up to purchasable quantities, and costs use only the rates you enter.
Structural quantities
Design-mix mode scales approved constituent quantities. Rebar mode converts supplied diameters, lengths, spacing or schedules into weight. Neither one designs the structure.
