Leave blank for quantities only. Use 0 only for costs included elsewhere or free. Reference rates are editable examples, not dealer quotes.

How this is worked out

Check the formulas, allowances and scope before buying.

From measurements to materials

Room mode: connections = bathrooms × bathroom connections + kitchens × kitchen connections + utility areas × utility connections. Direct mode uses your entered connection count.

In the guide example, each hot supply, cold supply, waste or soil connection is counted separately: 9 per bathroom, 3 per kitchen and 3 per utility area. Two bathrooms, one kitchen and one utility give 24 points. Agree the counting convention with your plumber.

Supply and drainage lengths come from your pipe routes, not floor area or point count. Purchase length = entered route length × (1 + allowance/100). No full-pipe rounding is assumed when pricing per metre.

Pipe cost = length with allowance × rate per metre. Use an average rate only for an early budget; obtain separate quotes by specified system, size and class for purchasing.

Add fittings, connection accessories and jointing/support allowances once per job. Connection labour = defined points × labour rate. Chasing, testing and transport are separate job allowances; enter 0 if already included in another rate.

Fixture purchases are included only when selected. They are separate from pipe fittings and connection accessories. The guide reference gives ₹77,000 before fixtures and ₹1,12,000 with its ₹35,000 fixture allowance, using zero additional pipe allowance.

Assumptions to check

Rough indoor plumbing budget only. Pipe routes, systems, sizes, gradients, pressure requirements and testing must come from the responsible plumber or designer. Example counts and rates do not specify a system.

Tanks, pumps, water heaters, septic systems, external mains, rainwater systems, waterproofing, major repairs and taxes are excluded. Fixture purchases are excluded unless selected. Confirm the scope of making good and avoid double-counting bundled work.
