Opening your workspace…
Measure the wall, add its doors and windows, and enter the brick and joint size. You will see both the calculated count and the quantity to buy.
Follow the method, check the example and review the assumptions.
Net wall volume ÷ effective brick volume including joints gives the theoretical brick count. Wastage is added before rounding up.
A 4 m × 3 m wall, 200 mm thick, with 2 m² of openings has 2 m³ net volume. A 200 × 100 × 100 mm effective module gives 1,000 bricks before wastage.
This illustrates the method; your inputs determine your result.Yes. Add each opening to its actual wall. It is deducted once from that wall only.
Joint thickness affects the brick count, but cement and sand are calculated separately in the brickwork mortar module.
