From measurements to materials
Net wall area = length × height − gate/opening and pillar-face deductions. Masonry volume = net area × thickness.
Brick count = masonry volume ÷ brick module volume (each brick dimension + joint). Apply brick wastage, then round up.
Wet mortar = masonry volume − theoretical brick count × solid brick volume. Dry mortar = wet mortar × dry-volume factor. Split it 1:sand ratio; apply mortar allowance.
Plaster area = (net wall area + additional plaster area per side) × selected sides. Additional area can include exposed pillar faces deducted from masonry. Wet plaster = area × thickness; apply the dry-volume factor, plaster ratio and allowance.
Cement uses 1,440 kg/m³ and 50 kg bags. Round masonry and plaster bags up separately. Add their sand volumes; 1 m³ = 35.3147 ft³.
Pillar reference = rounded-up(length ÷ spacing) + 1, including two ends of one open run. Corners, gates, existing supports and closed boundaries change this count.
Assumptions to check
Above-ground infill masonry and selected flat plaster only. Deduct pillar faces from masonry if included in the measured length; add any pillar-face plaster separately. Pillar concrete, foundations, footings, steel, coping, gates and painting are excluded.
Pillar spacing and wall thickness are supplied quantity inputs, not structural recommendations. Use approved site details.
Trolley capacity varies; confirm the entered capacity with your supplier. Trolley figures are volume equivalents, not rounded delivery loads.
