App data and backups
Saved work stays available when you close the app and install updates. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes it. Export a backup before changing phones or reinstalling; there is no automatic cloud backup.
Imports, exports and sharing
Import files only from sources you trust. Merging keeps existing records; workspace replacement requires an explicit choice. Exported files and share links contain the records you choose to include. Check them before sharing. Android lets you choose where to save or send an export.
Offline use and permissions
Layouts, calculations, saved estimates and bundled guides work offline. Opening external links requires a connection. The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, location or shared storage.
Optional analytics and diagnostics
When configured, native Firebase Analytics receives basic engagement events, Crashlytics receives native crash reports and generic app errors, and Performance Monitoring receives rendering and readiness timing. These services may process app/device information, IP addresses and installation identifiers. Advertising collection is disabled. Workspace records, measurements, rates, feedback messages, share links and raw JavaScript error details are never attached. The website Google tag and its cookies do not load inside Android. In known EEA, UK and Swiss consent regions, optional telemetry stays off until you choose; the automatic request appears after the first two sessions, at a settled workspace screen. Outside known consent regions, including uncertain locations, it starts immediately. The app requests only a coarse regional policy from kitnalagega.com, without location permission; an uncertain lookup preserves a previously known restriction. Change the three choices separately at any time in Settings → App privacy. Rejecting stops future collection and clears unsent crash reports; it cannot recall data already sent. Privacy choices stay on this device and are separate from workspace backups and clearing workspace records. Debug builds and builds without Firebase configuration keep telemetry off.
Remote settings and app updates
Firebase Remote Config uses an installation identifier and network information to retrieve app settings, feature flags and version rules without uploading your workspace. It initializes after the regional privacy decision; an undecided known consent region uses local defaults until you choose. Google Play handles available updates, downloads and installation. Flexible updates ask before restarting. Required updates are enforced only when Play can deliver a suitable version. If Google Play or the network is unavailable, saved work remains accessible. App updates never download website code from an untrusted server.
Shared links and external services
Anyone with a shared file or link can read its included data. New links keep data in the URL fragment. Query-string share links may appear in web hosting or messaging logs. Opening a link in an external browser or sharing to another app is subject to that service’s privacy practices.
Optional feedback and support
When direct feedback is configured and you choose Send feedback, your message, category, selected calculator, optional reply email, platform, app version/build, language and online status are sent directly from your device over HTTPS to Formspree, which forwards feedback to [email protected]. App feedback also includes the device model and OS version unless you deselect them. Unique device identifiers are never attached to feedback. Formspree also processes network information, including your IP address, under its privacy policy. Kitna Lagega has no feedback server. Saved layouts, estimates, measurements, rates and share links are not attached automatically. Please avoid private project details in your message. Feedback is used to investigate issues, improve the app and reply when requested. Feedback and replies remain in the provider dashboard and support mailbox until removed under their retention settings. To request access or deletion, email [email protected]. If direct sending is unavailable, you can prepare an email draft on your device and review and send it using your chosen mail service, whose privacy policy applies. Unsent drafts are held only while the feedback form is open.
Spam protection
The feedback form validates entries, includes a hidden spam field, waits at least two seconds after opening and applies a thirty-second local cooldown after a successful direct submission. Formspree applies server-side spam protection and its submission allowance. Kitna Lagega maintains no server-side feedback counters and applies no limits to website content, calculations or saved work. The email-app option remains available when direct sending is unavailable.
Review prompts and backup reminders
First-use date, session and saved-estimate counters, review-attempt date, backup date and dismissal preferences stay on your device. These counters are not sent with feedback or to an analytics service. The app may request a Google Play review after three newly saved estimates, two sessions and seven days, with at least thirty days between attempts. A session begins after thirty minutes of inactivity. You can turn off Review prompts in Workspace settings. Google controls whether its review dialog is displayed and handles reviews under its own privacy policy. Backup reminders can be dismissed for thirty days.
